Planning celebrations for your wedding anniversary, marking a joyous marriage together, as always that’s the plan but sometimes things just don’t go the way we planned. How do you avoid such things happening on your wedding anniversary?
Simple answer would be planning and hoping that the stars are aligned, the moon is the right shape and the wind is blowing in the right direction. Well that is how some people may plan their day and feel happy in doing so, but you are always at the mercy of other people and their own agendas.
This can upset your plans to make the perfect wedding anniversary celebration. You may have booked a new restaurant to try and the food was not to your liking or the service was bad, maybe you got a parking ticket or the car got towed. All these things can make for a spoilt celebration and hopefully be looked back on with some laughs.
Keep It Simple
KISS, keep it simple stupid! If you are coming up to your first wedding anniversary or celebrating twenty five years together apply this acronym. Plan on making your gift thoughtful no matter how much you have in the budget, you both know each other’s likes and dislikes so plan your day around this.
“Give me a kiss, and to that kiss a score; Then to that twenty, add a hundred more: A thousand to that hundred: so kiss on, to make that thousand up a million. Treble that million, and when that is done, let’s kiss afresh, as when we first begun”. Robert Herrick
Plan on spending time together even if it’s only for a few hours, forget the hassles of everyday life and take this moment to rekindle the romance. How you do that is up to you.
Not all married couples celebrate all their anniversaries this may be due to work or financial commitments. Maybe they only celebrate and push the boat out on the anniversaries ending with a zero. This may allow for planning and saving for that special trip or jewellery piece.
Just Enjoy It
There are many ways you can enjoy a wedding anniversary and plenty of ideas and gifts which offer great inspiration for when you are planning for an anniversary.
With all of life’s trials and challenges in modern society we can miss out on events such as wedding anniversaries so take time to plan for the day and try not to put too much pressure on yourself in making it the perfect day, just chill and look forward to a great day.
